What is a Certified Translation?

I provide certified translations. This means that every translation comes with a “Certificate of Accuracy” stating my qualifications and certifying the accuracy of the translation. It includes my seal, verifying that I am an ATA-certified Spanish-to-English translator. Most organizations that process personal documents, including the USCIS, request certified translations.

Does a certified translation have to be notarized? No. Notarized translations are not the same as certified translations. A notarized translation just means that a notary public signs the certificate of accuracy, verifying the identity of the person signing the certificate. The notary does not review the translation or ensure its accuracy. A notarized translation does not provide any additional guarantee of quality.

What Happens Next?

1. Use the form below to send me the details about your documents and what you need them translated for.

2. I will respond with a price quote based on the number of pages/words in your document(s) and how quickly you need the translation.

3. Once we agree on the price and terms, I will send you an invoice through Paypal. (If you do not have a Paypal account, you can pay securely through their website with a debit or credit card. If you do not wish to pay via Paypal, please request other payment options in your initial email.)

4. I begin translation as soon as I receive your payment. Once I complete the translation, I will send the translation to you or your designated recipient. (You will always receive a copy for your records.)

5. I am happy to answer questions after your translation is delivered. If you have concerns or for some reason the translation is not accepted by its recipient, I will work with you to correct the issue. My goal is your satisfaction and success!
